In a resounding victory, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured all seven seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections. Among these wins, Praveen Khandelwal’s triumph in the Chandni Chowk constituency stands out as a significant achievement.
Khandelwal, the National Secretary-General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), garnered an impressive 516,496 votes, defeating the three-time MP Jai Prakash Aggarwal from Congress by a substantial margin of 89,325 votes.
This victory marks a turning point in the political sphere of Chandni Chowk. The Chandni Chowk seat witnessed an intense three-way battle in 2019, where the BJP emerged victorious with over 52.92% of the votes and a commanding margin of 2.28 lakh votes.
In a strategic move, the BJP fielded Praveen Khandelwal, replacing the incumbent Harsh Vardhan, who had served two terms as MP. Khandelwal’s entry into the Lok Sabha elections brought a fresh perspective and energy to the campaign, focusing on issues relevant to the business community and advocating for their interests.
His extensive experience with CAIT, representing over 60 million traders across the country, positioned him as a champion for economic growth and development. With this decisive win, Praveen Khandelwal not only secures his place as the representative of Chandni Chowk but also showcases the BJP’s dominance in the region, reaffirming its strong presence and support among voters.
