India”s independent journalist Ravish Kumar”s YouTube channel, titled “Ravish Kumar Official,” a one-man media company, hit 8 million subscribers. He launched his YouTube channel in October 2022, and after a year, renowned journalist had attained remarkable achievement.

Ravish Kumar served as the Executive Editor of NDTV and announced his resignation from the news media company last year through a video post via his YouTube channel. He resigned from NDTV when channel”s founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy had to sell their channel to the Adani group.

While his 27 years in NDTV, he presented several flagship shows including Prime Time, Hum Log, Ravish Ki Report and Des Ki Baat. Ravish Kumar was a fearless critic of the government policies, as well as on the advancement of rightward tendencies.

As per the reports from Newslaundry, views at NDTV India, which Ravish Kumar was a part of has dipped since Adani takeover was complete. “As the Adani takeover was complete in December, views at NDTV India decreased to 45 million as compared to the 98 million a month before – a sharp slide of over 54 percent,” it said.

Extending gratitude to his viewers for 8 million subscribers, Ravish Kumar encouraged more people to join his channel. Through the channel, he handles topical news concerning India with critical observation and analysis, the insights which are failing to find voice on mainstream media.

He has won several honours and accolades including Ramon Magsaysay Award and Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award. Vinay Shukla”s documentary, While We Watched is based on Ravish Kumar closely following the journalist for two years with his camera.
