17-Year-Old Girl Shot By Jilted Lover In Haryana; Attacker Flees
A 17-year-old girl was shot near her home by a motorcyclist while returning from the library in Faridabad. The incident took place on a busy street in Shyam Colony, Ballabgarh, in Faridabad, around 5:30 pm on Monday.
As per the police, the girl, a class 12 student, was returning home from a local library when the men approached him. He fired at her with a country-made pistol. The bullet hit her shoulder and wounded on hand with the pellets.

The nearby residents tried to nab the attacker, but he managed to flee the scene. The police have seized the weapon. The incident was captured in the CCTV cameras.
The girl was bleeding after being hit by the pellets and later taken to Sarvodaya Hospital. She is said to be in a stable condition now.
The motorcyclist fired the pistol with the intent to kill the girl, but luckily, she survived, and undergoing treatment, the police told. The police is investigating the reasons behind the attack. A case for murder and possession of illegal weapon has been registered against the attacker under sections of BNS and Arms Act.
Reportedly, the suspect is identified a resident of a nearby area and girl belongs to business family. Police is also investigating whether the shooter knew the girl.
