
Cyber Attacks Amid India-Pak Tension; Avoid Unknown Links, Calls
As per the recent reports, cyber attack efforts are taking place amid the ongoing escalation of tension between India and Pakistan. Reports are coming regarding the spread of suspicious links, including ‘Tasksche.exe’ and ‘Dance of Hillary’ video files. While the attacks from Pakistan and India have escalated to a large scale, citizens have been asked to remain cautious about using online content.
Phone calls from unknown numbers claiming to the from any higher offices, such as PMO/CMO/Defence personnel etc asking about the ground situation or blackouts or preparation need to be responded. If any such calls are received by anyone, it should be reported to the nearest Police Station.
In a major escalation, Pakistan simultaneously attacked several locations in Jammu, including the airport, Jaisalmer, Punjab and other regions across India. Rockets were fired at Jammu from across the International Border on Thursday night. However, India’s air defence system shot down Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft. Drone attacks have also been foiled in Udhampur, while a drone was shot down in Akhnoor.
Meanwhile, India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke to US, Italinan and EU counterparts and told them that any “escalation will see a strong response.

As per the recent reports, INS Vikrant has attacked Karachi Port from Arabian Sea, where atleast 10 assaults were launched against Pakistan. India has taken action against 3 major cities including Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi at defence posts.
