93rd Air Force Day: President Droupadi Murmu Hails Indian Air Force’s Courage, Commitment & Excellence

President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended her warm greetings to all Air Force personnel, veterans, and their families on the occasion of the 93rd Air Force Day, praising the Indian Air Force  (IAF) for its courage, dedication, and excellence in service to the nation.

In her message on X, President Murmu wrote, “Warm greetings to all air warriors, veterans and their families on Air Force Day! The Indian Air Force has always demonstrated courage, commitment, and excellence. Our air warriors protect our skies and serve the nation with tireless dedication during disasters and humanitarian missions.”


The President also lauded the IAF for its readiness and contribution to national security. Our Air Force has made the nation proud with its strength and readiness to face every challenge. I extend my best wishes to the Indian Air Force for success in all future endeavours,” she added.

As the IAF marks its 93rd anniversary, this year’s celebrations at Hindon Air Base near Delhi promise to be a grand affair. The event will highlight Operation Sindoor, a special showcase of the force’s operational capabilities and technological advancements.

Spectators will witness breathtaking aerial displays by fighter jets, indigenous aircraft systems, and a heartfelt tribute to the retired MiG-21 Bison, one of India’s most iconic fighter jets.

The celebrations will also emphasise the Air Force’s expanding role in humanitarian and disaster relief operations, underlining its commitment beyond combat — from flood rescues to international aid missions.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the event, the Ghaziabad traffic police have implemented temporary diversions around the Hindon Air Base. According to ADCP (Traffic) Sachidanand, movement of heavy commercial vehicles will be restricted on routes leading to the Air Force Station, including ALT Chauraha to Rotary roundabout, Hindon River Metro Station to Rotary roundabout, and Karhera Cut GT Road to Hindon Air Force roundabout. The restrictions will remain in effect from 6 a.m. until the conclusion of the event.
