India's Left Parties Stage Protest Demanding Maduro's Release; Call Out US Imperialism
Today, India’s left parties organised a protest demanding the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and saying no to war while calling out the imperialism of the United States. A unified protest was called at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, today by all left parties, including CPIM, CPI, CPIML, All India Forward Block, R.S. P, and C.G.P.I.
Left parties condemned the unprovoked attack by the United States on Venezuela and the capture of President Maduro. ‘Down with US Imperialism’ and ‘Hands off Venezuela’, Slogans were raised during the protest.
Parties while calling the US imperialist aggression on Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia. Protesters expressed solidarity with Venezuela and the defence of its sovereignty and freedom.

Indian government has also responded to teh recent developments in Venezuela. “India reaffirms its support to the well-being and safety of the people of Venezuela. We call upon all concerned to address issues peacefully through dialogue, ensuring peace and stability of the region”, the official statement said.
