NASA stated that this full moon holds significant cultural importance worldwide. In the Hebrew calendar, it coincides with the start of Sukkoth which is a seven-day holiday. Now, let’s understand  ‘Supermoon’

A supermoon occurs when a full or new moon rises near its closest point to Earth called perigee. This phenomenon happens three to four times annually resulting in moons appearing 30% brighter and 14% larger than usual.

What Is  Hunter’s Moon?

The Hunter’s Moon earned its name as a signal for hunters to prepare for winter, according to NASA. The other names for October’s full moon include the Travel Moon, Dying Grass Moon, Sanguine Moon and Blood Moon. The Hunter’s Moon will remain visible through Friday (today) October 18 which will be a rare opportunity to witness a spectacular supermoon in the night sky.
