FIFA World Cup 2026: “Jwala” At GHSS Mankada Pallippuram Celebrates Football With Fan Show And Mashoor Shereef
Malappuram, June 12: GHSS Mankada Pallippuram in the football-crazy Malappuram district transformed into a vibrant hub of sporting celebrations today. Organized entirely under the leadership of its students, a spectacular football fan show titled “Jwala” (The Flame) was staged with an array of colorful and energetic events. The celebration took on a special significance as it coincided with the global excitement surrounding the newly expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup 2026.
The grand event was officially inaugurated by the Mankada Grama Panchayat President, Rashna Muneer, who commended the student body for their remarkable initiative. The Panchayat Vice President, Mansoor, also attended the ceremony as a special guest, lending formal support to the academic institution’s massive carnival.
A Star-Studded Interactive Session
Adding significant prestige to the festivities, renowned Indian football star Mashoor Shareef made a special appearance at the campus. Alongside him were physical trainer Abdurahiman and prominent sports psychologist Jaleel Cholayil. The trio engaged in a lively interactive session with the students, sharing valuable insights, offering inspiration, and extending their warmest wishes to the aspiring youngsters.
According to an official representative from the school, “Jwala” was organised as the headline event for the launch of the Ignite Project. This new academic and wellness venture is designed to promote regular physical activities among pupils, helping them regain mental stability before channeling that renewed focus back into their core studies. This unique psychological framework explains the strategic presence of a sports psychologist and a physical trainer alongside a professional football icon for the official inauguration.
Flash Mob and Global Spirit Steal the Show
The absolute highlight of the afternoon was a meticulously choreographed flash mob performed by the female students, which quickly became the main attraction of the day. The entire school grounds erupted in applause as rows of students joined the celebration.
Reflecting the international flavour of the ongoing tournament, the children proudly displayed the flags and wore the official jerseys of footballing giants such as Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Spain, France, and England.
The massive presence and unbridled enthusiasm of the girls was particularly noteworthy, underlining the growing popularity of women’s engagement with football across the region.
Official Proceedings and Vote of Thanks
The formal segment of the day commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the school Principal, Ashraf Sir. The function was presided over by the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) President, Shajahan, who praised the harmony between the staff, parents, and student organizers.
As the celebrations drew to a close, the Event Convener, Abdul Shukoor T.K., expressed his profound gratitude during the vote of thanks.
