Hotstar Makes Glaring 'Hardik Pandya' Error In T20 World Cup 2024 Broadcast

T20 World Cup 2024 broadcasters Hotstar made a glaring error during the match between the West Indies and Papua New Guinea at the Providence Stadium, Guyana, on Sunday.

The error was spotted after the West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase smashed an unbeaten 42 to guide his side to victory. The error drew reactions from fans on social media after the image went viral on X.

“Hardik Pandya’s photo in the West Indies Vs Papua New Guinea scorecard. 😄 – A glitch from Hotstar!,” Mufaddal Vohra captioned on the image.

Incidentally, the Team India all-rounder draws a lot of inspiration from the Caribbean lifestyle. The fact was highlighted by fans on social media through a clip of his elder brother Krunal Pandya.

“If you see a picture of Hardik as a child, you would think that this kid is from the Caribbean, not an Indian kid,” jokes Krunal in the clip taken from Season 3 of the YouTube series ‘What The Duck’.

West Indies defeated Papua New Guinea by five wickets in the Group C encounter. The Rovman Powell-led side are currently placed in second place of Group C behind Afghanistan after one match. The other teams in the points table include New Zealand and Uganda.
