Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were out-of-sorts as a batting exhibition from SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma guided them to a 10-wicket victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 contest at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Following the defeat, LSG owners Sanjiv Goenka and Dhanna Seth Goenka were seen having an animated chat with his captain KL Rahul inside the boundary line. While nothing is clear about the discussion, it is argued that the LSG owner was unhappy with the result and reprimanded him for the result.

Mr Goenka is a pathetic owner.
I support KL Rahul 100%

The incident did not go well amongst the fans as they called it a “disgusting behaviour” from the LSG owner while many thought that Goenka forgot about sportsmanship.
“LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka behaved disrespectfully with KL Rahul after LSG lost badly, Dhanna Seth Goenka forgot the sportsmanship, no owner has ever behaved so disrespectfully even after a big loss, shame on him!!,” one of the fans said.
“After this public spat under cameras, I’m sure that KL Rahul is leaving LSG next year. Fine big money’s riding in IPL and understand the frustration as an owner but it speaks volumes about Sanjiv Goenka as a boss!! Never do your dirty laundry in public,” another fan said.
LSG find themselves in a challenging spot after the loss to SRH. The Rahul-led side are currently placed on the sixth spot in the IPL 2024 points table with 12 points. They will next take on Delhi Capitals on May 14 and already eliminated Mumbai Indians on May 17.
