The Kerala Super League is set to showcase international superstars in action, as per reports in Media One. Mathew Joseph, the CEO of the Kerala Super League, said that the league will be organized as per international standards and the franchises participating in the league will be announced next year.

In its inaugural season, the league will feature international superstars like Kaka, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cafu, and Hulk with the tournament scheduled to take place by the end of August 2024. The league will feature six corporate teams from Kerala and a few from Gulf countries are also reportedly set to take part.

The matches are scheduled to take place in top-tier venues such as Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Municipal Stadium in Kozhikode, and Pahanane Stadium in Malappuram. The final decision of the securities and facilities will be taken into consideration while deciding the venues. The live coverage of the matches will take place on the Star Sports Network while the live streaming of the matches can be followed on Disney Hotstar.

Incidentally, Indian football legend I.M Vijayan is at the core of the promotion of the league while the league has also signed a historic partnership with Andres Iniesta scouting. “Super League Kerala is firmly anchored in the legacy of the football icon Andrés Iniesta.
