Rishabh Pant made a comeback to domestic cricket in the Duleep Trophy and also brought back his epic banters from behind the stumps.
The India B wicketkeeper-batter poked fun at his India A counterpart Kuldeep Yadav in the season opener at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
The incident took place in the 41st over of India A’s second innings when the leg-spinner was batting at 13 runs after Pant asked the fielders, inside the circle, to come closer to prevent a single.
“sab aage aao, ye single lega (everyone come close, he’ll take the single),” Pant was heard saying in the stump mic.
“main nahi luga (I won’t take the single),” Kuldeep responded.
“Maa Kasam khale nahi lega (take mom’s swear then),” Pant said, poking fun at his Team India compatriot.

Pant notched up 61 runs off 47 deliveries in the second innings for India B while Yadav failed to impress in the match as he scalped only a single wicket.
Meanwhile, India B clinched a 76 runs victory in the contest, with their top-order batter Musheer Khan top-scoring with 181 runs off 373 deliveries. He was adjudged the player of the match for the innings, which was laced with 16 boundaries and five hits over the fence.
“My preparation was really good with my father. I had done well in Ranji so I knew I could get an opportunity here. Every ball I was encouraging him from the non-striker’s end to play it out (his partnership with Saini). I think it was only the first or second time for me to take catches at short leg,” Musheer said.
