MS Dhoni Reveals His 'Heart Rate Was Up' During The T20 World Cup 2024 Final

Former India captain MS Dhoni revealed his heart rate was up during the intense T20 World Cup 2024 final.

In the edge-of-the-seat thriller at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, Team India defended 16 runs off the final over against South Africa to clinch victory by seven runs and win their second-ever title in the format.

Following the triumph, the 2007  T20 World Cup-winning captain, took to Instagram to describe how he felt during the match and congratulated the national team for holding their nerves to clinch victory. He, further, edited the caption of his image and thanked Rohit Sharma and co. for the “priceless birthday gift”.

“WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS 2024.My heart rate was up,well done on being calm, having the self belief and doing what u guys did.From all the Indians back home and everywhere in the world a big thank you for bringing the World Cup Home.CONGRATULATIONS.arreeee thanks for the priceless birthday gift,” MS Dhoni said in a post on Instagram.

Incidentally, Dhoni will celebrate his birthday on July 7. He was the first captain to lead Team India to a T20 World Cup triumph in the inaugural edition in 2007.

Following that, he successfully led the national team to 2011 World Cup triumph and 2013 Champions Trophy victory.

This is Team India’s first triumph in ICC tournaments after 11 years.
