Star Indian batter Sanju Samson was unable to find a position in the Indian team, once again. After being omitted from the World cup squad, now he is excluded from the Indian roaster for the Australian series. The Board of control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the team members without Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav from first two games of the series.

After the announcement, the star batter has posted a cryptic message on Facebook. His post on Facebook featuring a smiling emoji has left the fans disappointed. Most have come supporting him and reminding him of his earlier achievements.

He was considered as a contender for taking the wicket-keeping duties in the Indian team following injuries to Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul.

His poor performance in the match against West Indies might have affected the selection process while at the same time K L Rahul and Ishan Kishan has managed to put up an exceptional batting performance in the Asia cup, says CricTracker.

Unfortunately, Samson will not be a part of the team Indian Asian Game Squad as well as World Cup.

BCCI announced the squad member names for the upcoming three ODI series against Australia on Monday night. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar has announced two different teams for ODI series.

Though few stars were left out in the first two matches, full strength squad will be all set in the third and final ODI”s.

K L Rahul will lead the team in the absence of Rohit Sharma with Ravindra Jadeja as his deputy. Rahul and Ishan will be the top contenders to keep wickets for India. There are some surprising inclusions in team like youngster Tilak Varam and he will be present in the first two ODI’s. Ashwin’s re-entry became a talking point after being excluded in both World cup as well as Asian cup squad. He secured his position back due to Axar Patel’s injury.

An interesting comment appeared from former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan about power-hitter Samson reacting to the India’s squad announcement.

“If I’m in place of @IamSanjuSamson right now I will be very disappointed…,” he said on X.
