Google has recently announced its Google Play’s Best of 2023 in India. The yearly awards are to recognise the best apps and games on Google Play as well as the developers who developed them. The tech giant has selected applications across 24 categories on the India Play Store for its Best of 2023 list. Google mentioned that many of these titles come from Indian developers.

Level SuperMind, a mind-performance app, won the title of Best App of the Year. Level SuperMind helps users improve their mindfulness with personalized AI-enabled paths comprising a mix of meditation, exercises, and journals. The app has also been chosen as the best app in the personal growth category. “THAP: Your Happiness Gym” won the Users’ Choice app of the year. The app helps users improve their mental well-being and manage issues such as depression and stress, with easy access to licensed therapists and resources. THAP: Your Happiness Gym was also chosen as the top app in the “Best App for Good” category. Autism Basics, and Earth5R are the other two top apps in the “Best App for Good” category.

In the games category, Monopoly Go was selected as the best game of 2023, and Subway Surfers Blast was picked by users in India as their favourite game for the year. “Battle Stars: 4v4 TDM & B” is the winner of the Best Made in India game. It is a multiplayer mobile shooting game created by SuperGaming, a Pune-based game development firm. Battlegrounds Mobile India and EA SPORTS FC Mobile Soccer are the winners in the Best Ongoing Game category. Google mentioned in its blog that the most significant trend is the increasing use of AI by developers to build and offer enhanced user experiences.
