Google Announces India's First AI Hub In Visakhapatnam With Full AI Stack, Consumer Services

Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh: US-based tech giant, Google, has announced an artificial intelligence (AI) hub in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, October 14. Upon completion, the tech company would bring its full AI stack and consumer services to India.

The drive is likely to enable Google to deploy its full AI stack with the aim of helping accelerate AI-driven transformation across India. With a combination of powerful AI infrastructure, data center capacity, new large-scale energy sources and an expanded fiber-optic network in one place, the upcoming project would be the first AI hub in India.

The initiative marks Google’s largest investment in India to date, and is aligned to the Indian Government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision to accelerate the expansion of AI-driven services, according to a statement issued by the tech giant on Tuesday.

The company would be making an investment of approximately $15 billion (USD) over a period of five years (2026-2030).
