Google is all set to introduce the Google Pixel 8 series in the market soon. The tech giant will announce its new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro phones during its “Made By Google” event, scheduled for October 4th in New York City. Beyond the Pixel 8 series, Google will also unveil the Pixel Watch 2.

“Meet the new Pixel phones, featuring the most advanced Pixel cameras yet, and Google AI to help you do more, even faster,” Google wrote as the tagline on its website for the new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. As per the recent leaks, the much-awaited devices are expected to launch with a Tensor G3 chipset, developed in-house. It may also feature triple camera sensors on the back. These devices may also include high-speed UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5x RAM.

Leaks also suggest that Google may offer an impressive seven years of major OS and security updates to the lineup. Google is making this move to surpass Apple”s software support longevity. Google will also improve the charging speed of the models by adding 27W on the Pixel 8 Pro and 24W on the Pixel 8. The Google Pixel 8 is likely to arrive in four colour variants while the Google Pixel 8 Pro will have three various colour options.

The Pixel 8 will have a 6.2-inch display with a boosted refresh rate, to 120Hz. It will be bit smaller than the 6.3-inch Pixel 7 device, which was launched on 2022. Meanwhile, Flipkart has already listed Google Pixel 8 series on its website ahead of the launch. “Pixel 8 Series. Pre-order starts on October 5” the website reads.
