Smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus are expected to unveil smartphones in January. The new shiny launches include the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 series and the OnePlus 12 series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series: The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be unveiled on January 17. The S24 series consists of three models: the S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra. Reports suggest that the South Korean manufacturer will include the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the S24 series. As per the leaked specifications, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ may feature 50-megapixel triple rear camera units with up to 3x dual telephoto lenses. At the same time, the top model may include a 200-megapixel quad-rear camera system. The Galaxy S24 may feature a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X full-HD+ panel. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra may arrive with 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch displays, respectively. Notably, Samsung is also likely to bring more generative AI-powered features to the Galaxy S24 series.
OnePlus 12: OnePlus will introduce the much-awaited OnePlus 12 in the Indian market on January 23. The OnePlus 12, which sports a 6.82-inch LTPO Super Fluid AMOLED display, is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-chip. In terms of camera, the device will feature a triple rear camera setup. This consists of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 64MP telephoto lens, and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The device might include up to 24 GB of RAM and up to 1TB of in-built storage.
Vivo X100 series: Vivo will launch its X100 series smartphones in the country in January 2024. This flagship series includes the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. Both devices will be powered by a brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. While the Vivo X100 features a 50MP main sensor with a Sony IMX VCS sensor and a 64MP telephoto camera with a Zeiss lens, the Vivo X100 Pro model will be equipped with a 50MP primary sensor with a Sony IMX989 lens and a 50MP Zeiss lens. In terms of battery, the base model is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Meanwhile, the X100 Pro houses a 5,400mAh unit with 100W charging.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to unveil the Redmi Note 13 series on January 4. The lineup consists of the Redmi Note 13 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The smartphones will sport an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi Note 13 may include the Mediatek Dimensity 6080 SoC. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ may feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC, respectively. Also, the Redmi Note 13 may feature a 100MP dual rear camera setup. The other two models may include a triple rear camera setup with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor.
