Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh: Reflecting the extent of rising hate crimes against Muslims in the country, three children playing in a park recently went through a harrowing ordeal in the name of their religion. The brutal attack on the minors for their Islamic identify has shocked the consciousness of many netizens as the video of the man physically assaulting the children went viral on social media.
The incident happened at Amrit Sagar Garden in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam when the children were sitting near the lake.

The man in the video is seen repeatedly thrashing the children while forcing them to chant Jai Shree Ram. The disturbing visuals showed the man laughing and beating the minors forcefully with his hand and slipper while the others were engaged in capturing the visuals. Despite the helpless children crying and chanting Jai Shree Ram helplessly out of the affliction and terror, the man kept bashing them mercilessly.
The incident purportedly occurred a month ago, and the video of the horrific torture surfaced online recently. According to a tweet by hate detector, the children were sitting near a swing at the park’s lake when two men approached them. After identifying their Muslim religious identity, they verbally and physically began to abuse the children.
Imran A. Khokar, an advocate representing the children said that it was evident in the video that the incident involved three minor children and they were playing there. The attackers demanded that the children chant “Jai Shri Ram” and threatened them as they began to beat.

“If you say Allah, we will throw you in the pond,” one of the attackers intimidated, and the children were forcibly made to chant Jai Shri Ram while the other person was making the video, according to the victim’s account. The children fled to safety and, out of fear, did not inform their families about the ordeal immediately.
The handle noted that one of the children was only seven years old and was severely traumatized by the horrific experience. “The middle child, the youngest one, was around seven years old. After this incident, he locked himself in a room, traumatized. We had to counsel him extensively to even get him to open the door,” the handle cited the victim’s advocate. The accused has been arrested, and the police have been investigating the matter, it further noted.

As the video went viral on social media, users are expressing their shock over the extent of hate that made the adult physically attack children sitting in a park over their religion. Many on the microblogging platform have condemned the incident, and a user, Amit Majumder wrote, “That Is Main Problem Of India Muslim Assaulted Anywhere in India By BJP Hindus.”
