Kozhikode: A massive fire has broken out at Calicut Textiles, located near the private bus station area in Kozhikode on Sunday, May 18 at around 5 pm, prompting emergency responses from the fire department. Local fire services units have rushed to the spot and have been engaged in extinguishing the blaze.
The fire quickly spread to other parts of the building, causing panic among people and shop owners. Video showed massive blaze and smoke emerging from the fire-affected areas.

The fire officials have been working to contain the blaze while taking all necessary precautions to prevent it from affecting other structures. Authorities have instructed commuters to avoid the route to facilitate fire-fighting activities.
The reason for the fire is not known, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire. Notably, there are no reports of casualties, as per the latest update.
