Hyderabad: In a surprising move against actor Allu Arjun, the Hyderabad police on Friday arrested the Telugu star in connection with the death of a woman in a stampede at his celebrated Pushpa 2 The Rule release. During the movie’s premiere show at a theatre in Hyderabad, a 35-year-old woman lost her life while her nine-year-old sun suffered serious injury due to the asphyxiation in the crowded Sandhya Theatre when the actor made a visit.

The visuals of police team from Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad shows the officials detaining Allu Arjun from his residence in Jubilee Hills. The officials are seen taking the actor to the police vehicle. The actor was  seen smiling when he was getting into the police car. The pan-Indian star has been shifted to the police station, where he would be reportedly interrogated, media houses report citing police.

After the incident happened on December 4. Allu Arjun donated Rs 25 lakh to family of woman who died at ‘Pushpa 2’ premiere, and declared that he would cover all medical expenses of the injured child.
