Al Asimah, Kuwait: Several drones struck Kuwait International Airport on Monday, March 9. The incident has caused property damage in the airport building, with thick smoke seen rising from the facility. 

There are no casualties, according to the authorities. Emergency protocols were activated immediately, and the situation was handled in coordination with relevant state agencies, the Kuwaiti officials said.

The drone attack comes as conflict intensifies in West Asia, with the US and Israel targeting Iran and the Islamic Republic retaliating across US military bases in the region and Israel. Iran has been accusing Kuwait and several other gulf nations for facilitating US military to launch attack against the country.

Some of the missiles that hit Iran reportedly launched from Kuwait, prompting retaliation.

Since February 28, the day when US and Israel launched attack in Iran, several airports have been targeted in the West Asia, including Dubai International Airport for three times. The airport was hit, resulting in the injuries of several people and cancellations of flight in one of the world’s busiest airports.
