Dubai, United Arab Emirates: On Saturday, the day Iran announced it had stopped targeting neighboring countries unless an attack was launched from there, a drone hit Dunai International Airport.

The incident forced all major airlines, including Emirates, to suspend all flights until further notice. The incident has spread speculations of the Israel and US role in the attack, with many claiming it to be a false flag operation. One of the busiest airports in the world, the attack on the Dubai international airport will have severe repercussions in the Emirates and beyond.

The alert, sent to mobile phones across several parts of the city on Friday, asked residents to seek shelter in the nearest secure building and stay away from windows, doors and open spaces.
