Kuwait City: Kuwaiti authorities have announced that a drone and missile attack allegedly from Iran has hit the Kuwait International Airport Terminal 1 building, inflicting severe damage to facilities at the airport.

The attack has also inflicted injuries on several people, leading to the suspension of the flight operations at the airport. The US has claimed that Iran has launched two missiles at Kuwait, which fell short of broke apart. Iran has claimed that it has targeted two major US bases in Kuwait, in retaliation to the US attacks on the Iranian cities.

Hours after the incident, Kuwait International Airport has resumed Kuwait Airways flights from Terminal 4 of its facility after suspension of operation. The move came following the completion of the technical teams and competent authorities’ assessment of the damages and taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of operational processes.

Notably, at least one person was killed and a few other people were wounded in the attack. Iran has held Kuwait directly responsible for the US strikes on Iranian commercial vessels and communication tower as the gulf nation allowed its land to be used against Iran.
