Hamad International Airport Ranked Second In 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards (image: Special Arrangement)
Airports have always been essential hubs for global connectivity. Today, most countries meet world-class standards by ensuring high efficiency and enhancing traveler satisfaction throughout the journey. Despite being the world’s fourth busiest airport, Singapore Changi Airport was crowned the ‘World’s Best Airport’ in 2025, according to Skytrax. This is the thirteenth time the award has been given to Singapore.
The annual World Airport Award by Skytrax is often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.” Meanwhile, Doha’s Hamad International Airport, the previous three-time winner, was ranked second on the 2025 list. Additionally, the airport was also awarded as the best airport in the Middle East. The airport was also awarded the prestigious 5-star Airport Rating.

On winning the prestigious award, Hamad Ali Al Khater, Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, said: “We are honored to receive these prestigious accolades. Being named Best Airport in the Middle East for the eleventh year and Best Airport Shopping for the third time reflects our commitment to delivering an exceptional passenger experience. With the launch of Concourses D and E a few weeks ago, we’re expanding our capacity to over 65 million passengers, enhancing the overall experience, integrating smart infrastructure, sustainable design, and next-generation retail and dining experiences.”
The Qatar airport connects passengers to more than 197 destinations via contemporary dining options, entertainment, and many more facilities.

Meanwhile, from the Middle East, Dubai International Airport was ranked 11th. Asian airports have taken all the top spots compared to North America and Europe. Only Paris’s Charles de Gaulle was able to be in the top 10. The airport’s Terminal 3 also earned the title of best low-cost terminal worldwide.
