Iran Says Another US Drone Shot Down Over Isfahan Province
Tehran, Iran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday, April 4, said that the country’s “advanced modern” air defence system have shot down a US drone over the province of Isfahan, state-owned Fars News agency reported.
The incident comes a day after the Iranian defense force shot down two US military planes – one in central Iranian airspace and the other near the Strait of Hormuz – while the fighters were involving in combat operation against the Islamic Republic. The downed jets includes US F15-E Strike Eagle fighter jet and US A-10 attack aircraft.
Iran air defence has already shot down a number of US combat drones since the conflict began on February 28 after the US and Israel launched war against the Islamic Republic.
The back-to back assault for the US military equipment have caused major loses to the American force despite Trump claiming that its army has decimated Iran’s air defence, naval force and attacking capacities including missile facilities and launchers.
