Reportedly, Israel dropped more bombs in Gaza than US’ nuclear bomb dropped in Japan’s Hiroshima. Protests and demonstrations against Israel were held in Hiroshima and other parts of the country.
When US dropped bomb in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and then in Nagasaki on August 9 of same year, over 140,000 people were killed. This year marks the 79th anniversary of the tragedy.
Pro-Palestine activists and peace activists assembled near the commemoration site in Hiroshima to protest local administration’s invite to Israeli officials, reminding the officials that Tel Aviv was waging war on Gaza which has resulted in nearly 40,000 deaths of Palestinians since October 7 last year, said TRT World.

Reports suggest that Israel has launched more bombs in Gaza, that weighs more than what US has dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Social media report said, “Gaza is 60% smaller than Hiroshima, but Israel has dropped SIX times more bombs on it compared with the atomic bomb dropped by the US in WWII. In other words, 14.4 tons of bombs per square kilometer of Hiroshima versus 219 tons/km2 in Gaza!”.

As the war passed 10 months, death toll in Gaza rose to 40,000. Reportedly, while the figure is shocking enough, it does not take into account the various forms of death Palestinians face that are not directly caused by an Israeli bullet or bomb.
In the Gaza ghetto where Palestinians live, which even United States President Joe Biden described as “sheer hell”, Palestinians die from heat, thirst, hunger and diseases caused by the debilitating siege on the strip, said Al Jazeera.
