A Reddit user recently shared a post revealing his experience after visiting China for the first time. The Reddit post with the title “An Indian”s reflection on Visiting China for the first time” has gone viral already.

In the viral post, which was shared one day ago, the Reddit user @u/Charaik said that he visited Guangzhou and 2 other major cities in China and found all of them to be clean and organised. He said that he went to China to attend a trade fair. The Reddit user said that the Chinese cities he visited had convenient metro connectivity and had rental bicycles and eBikes which people can rent by scanning from their phone using apps. “That too pretty cheap. Approx 15rupees for 15 minutes!” added the Reddit user on his post. He also said that he was surprised at the discipline of people as they patiently stood in queues and the streets were cleaned regularly.

The Reddit user said that China have a mammoth economy almost entirely handled by their own population and this happened as the country utilised huge young population who were ready to work. However, China is now facing an ageing workforce. The Reddit user pointed out that India has a scope in this situation as the country has one of the world”s largest young population. The user stated that the social and political environment in our country is now mired in polarising people on every aspect, keeping a big part of this productive population spending millions of hours a day invoking past glories and failures to feel superior to the “Others”. “Instead of Unity in Diversity, we are becoming Divided on Diversity now,” added the user on his post. He also said that if we do not use skills and resources effectively, it will lead to an oligopoly state and will result in a weakened economy in the long run and will also lead to low morals in working youth.

Several users reacted to this post. “I believe China made it possible because they were able to take complete hold of their education system,” wrote a user. “There is one thing you”re forgetting that helps China. It”s culture,” wrote another. On the other hand, certain users criticised the post. “I think everyone in the comment section forgets that China is not democracy,” commented a user. “How do we know you are not paid by CCP to write this? wrote another.
