Colombia: Known as “La Muneca” or “The Doll,” a 23-year-old Colombian woman has been arrested in connection with a series of targeted murders, including the recent murder of her ex-boyfriend. Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez allegedly committed murders in the municipality of Colombia’s Barrancabermeja at the behest of the Los de la M gang.
The Magdalena Medio Police arrested Rodriguez after she allegedly orchestrated the murder of her former boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, in Piedecuesta, whom she called to meet on the pretext of resolving a money-related matter on July 23.

The police stated that when the man arrived at the location, he was shot by two men on a motorcycle allegedly on behalf of “The Doll.”
She was allegedly expanding her criminal operations, leading a group of hitmen who were behind a string of murders before her arrest, a local news outlet reported.
Along with Rodriguez, her accomplice Paula Valentina Joya Rueda was also arrested. Known as “Gorda Sicaria” or “Fat Hitwoman,” Paula is 24 years old. A third accomplice, identified as “Leopoldo, was also taken into custody by the police. Authorities reportedly seized a revolver and a 9mm pistol during the arrests.
The Magdalena Medio Police shared a video of the arrest on the social media platform X. “With the capture of alias La Muneca and alias Leopoldo, a period of calm has been created in the region. These arrests mark progress in the dismantling of criminal structures responsible for the recent homicides,” Lieutenant Colonel Muaricio Herrara told the local media.

The specific charges Rodriguez and her accomplices will face are yet to be disclosed.
