Naresh Bhatt, a man from Virginia has been charged with murder and defiling a dead body after his wife, Mamta Bhatt went missing four months ago.
What’s shocking is that Naresh had made some sinister Google searches before his wife’s disappearance. He had looked up “How long does it take to get married after spouse dies” and “What happens to debt when spouse dies” three months before Mamta went missing.

The police have been investigating Mamta’s disappearance since July, and they have found some disturbing evidence. They discovered blood in the couple’s home in Manassas, which matched Mamta’s DNA. Although Mamta’s body has not been found, the police are confident that they have a strong case against Naresh.
The police chief, Mario Lugo, said as quoted by AP, “From the beginning, we believed that she was murdered. I feel we have a strong case for not having the body.” Naresh was initially charged with concealing a dead body, but now he faces more serious charges of murder and defiling a dead body.

Mamta’s family in Nepal and the local community have been searching for answers and justice for the 28-year-old pediatric nurse.
They have organised social media campaigns, community events, and rallies to raise awareness about Mamta’s disappearance. Naresh remains in jail, and the case has drawn international attention to the northern Virginia community.
Early this week in India, a woman allegedly killed her husband by poisoning him in Ismailpur village. A 32-year-old Shailesh Kumar was poisoned by his wife Savita because she suspected him of having an affair with another woman, according to officials from the Kada Dham police station in Kaushambi district.
