Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Greece today after attending the BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. He will attend meetings with Greek leadership, business community, and the Indian diaspora in Greece.

After the arrival in Greece, PM Modi was greeted by the Indian community.

Apart from his BRICS duties, Prime Minister Modi had bilateral meetings with Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi, Iran President Ebrahim Raisi, Senegal President Macky Sall and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali in Johannesburg before departing for the European country.
On the last day of BRICS Summit yesterday, BRICS, a grouping of the economies of the global south consisted of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, have taken the decision to expand the forum. The newly added member countries include Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said such an expansion will make BRICS stronger and more effective.
