Washington DC, United States: US President Donald Trump was evacuated after several shots were fired during the White House correspondents’ dinner on Saturday night. Videos show the stage being evacuated with security personnel escorting President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other cabinet members from the state.

Panic spread in the hall. According to the reports, the incident occurred outside the ballroom where Trump and guests were seated. The US Secret Service in a statement said that one suspect is in custody and alive. There are also reports that the alleged shooter has been killed.

The FBI has launched an investigation into the incident. The witnesses have documented that they heard five to eight shots being fired in the banquet hall. The hall was packed with US high-profile officials, journalists, celebrities and national leaders.
