'Trump Got Strait Of Hormuz Reopened': White House Claims Victory In 38-Day War Over Iran
Washington DC, United States: The White House has called the ceasefire reached between Iran and the United States a victory for the US administration, claiming that President Donald Trump got the Strait of Hormuz reopened. “Never underestimate President Trump’s ability to successfully advance America’s interests and broker peace,” spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said.
Meanwhile, Iran has also declared victory over the US, noting that the latter has accepted its ten-point demands in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending defensive actions. The Strait of Hormuz, which was opened before the US and Israel started the war, was closed by Iran, attacking ships along the international transit route.

The fighting had disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, the key global energy route, raising cost of fuels across the world. The two-week pause, announced by US President Donald Trump, followed mediation efforts led by Pakistan and is tied to the reopening of the strait.
Both sides have claimed military gains, with Washington saying it achieved its core objectives and Tehran saying it forced the United States to accept the framework of its demands.
