US-Israel Strikes Khorramabad Airport; IDF Threatens To Attack Iran's Railway Network

In a significant escalation of conflict, the United States and Israel have conducted a joint strike targeting Iran’s Khorramabad Airport on Tuesday, April 7. The provincial authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage, Iran’s Mehr news agency reported.

The attack comes amid the Israeli military warned Iranians to avoid train journeys, suggesting a possible attack on crucial transport infrastructure. Israel has accused the Iranian military of using the country’s railway network to enhance military operations, including weapons transportation.

Explosions were also reported in Tehran and the central city of Qom. Two locations outside the city were targeted by projectiles, causing damage to some infrastructure in central Iran. There were no immediate confirmed reports of casualties.

 

Several residential neighborhoods in Tehranpars and Saadat Abad were also targeted. According to a report, a synagogue in the Enghelab area was among the locations hit by the latest attack.

The threat to strike the Railway network in Iran appears to be a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict in the West Asia.
