Volkswagen has recently unveiled the 2024 Taigun GT range, marking an exciting addition to their lineup with prices starting at Rs 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom). The Taigun GT range boasts enhanced features and performance, setting a new standard in the compact SUV segment.

With the introduction of the Taigun GT range, Volkswagen is offering an introductory 4-year warranty program exclusively for the Taigun GT Plus Sport trim, providing customers with added peace of mind.

Initially showcased at Volkswagen’s annual press conference in Jaipur earlier this year, the updated GT range of the Taigun now comes with prices ranging from Rs 14.08 lakh to Rs 19.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

For the first time ever, the GT badge on the Taigun will be paired with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol unit, adding a new dimension to the driving experience. Volkswagen has introduced two new GT trims to the Taigun lineup – GT Line and GT Plus Sport, both available in manual and automatic transmission options, with sportier blacked-out trims enhancing their aesthetic appeal.

The exterior and interior enhancements of the 2024 Taigun GT range further elevate its appeal. The GT Sport range features sportier blacked-out trims on the front grille, air dams, bumpers, and alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the GT Plus Sport variant stands out with distinctive red accents on the exterior, including the GT badge, and red brake callipers, along with 17-inch ‘Cassino’ black alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the GT Plus Sport boasts sportier interiors with red accents on various elements, including the dashboard, gear knob, steering wheel, and seats branded with the ‘GT’ logo. In contrast, the GT Line offers a more understated design with limited red accents, maintaining a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic.

In terms of features, the Taigun GT Plus Sport offers a comprehensive suite of amenities, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, powered front seats, and a single-pane sunroof. Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

On the powertrain front, the Taigun GT Line is equipped with a 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, delivering 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic gearbox. The GT Plus Sport trim, on the other hand, boasts a more powerful 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo petrol engine, generating 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Overall, the 2024 Volkswagen Taigun GT range represents a significant leap forward in terms of design, performance, and features, further solidifying Volkswagen’s position in the competitive SUV market.
