Free NEET And IIT Coachings: Private Institutes And Governments Filling The Gap

Edited by Uzma Parveen

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main are two of the most competitive exams in India for two reasons first the number of seats is limited in comparison to students and second their popularity.

Lakhs of students appear for the exam every year with a dedicated study schedule, focus, and hard work. However, this requires expert guidance through various sources and coaching is one of the most sought-after mediums of guidance. However, the exorbitant fee structure and commercialization of education have made it a distant dream for many. To this end, several governments and private institutions are providing free coaching to aspiring candidates.

The Biology Academy of Bareilly is one such institute providing free coaching to IIT and NEET aspirants. The initiative aims to empower students from economically marginalized backgrounds in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

Through the Academy, its Director Prof Dr. Rohit Pratap Singh is extending support to talented students studying in government schools identified as living below the poverty line or an annual income of less than Rs 10 lakh. Students studying in Class 9, 10, 11, and 12 preparing for the IIT and NEET exams get admission into the coaching.

To get admission into the coaching students will have to take a scholarship examination. The classes are to be provided online to ensure maximum participation and the coaching schedule is designed to accommodate students’ needs. The classes are provided by expert faculties from different cities including Delhi, Kota, Lucknow, and Prayagraj.

Other Free NEET and IIT Coaching

The initiative is following other state government initiatives such as the Uttar Pradesh government’s Abhudaya Scheme and Bihar Board free coaching scheme to offer free coaching to NEET UG and IIT JEE examinations to the students belonging to marginalized sections. Other state governments such as Assam, Telangana, Delhi, and West Bengal also provide free coaching to the students preparing for the NEET and IIT exams.
