JEE-Mains 2024 Result: With 15 Candidates, Telangana Tops The Perfect 100 List

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main — engineering entrance cum JEE Advanced eligibility test–  result. The testing agency also released the candidate list who scored a perfect 100 NTA Score on paper 1 of the exam. This year a total of 56 candidates from 16 different states scored a perfect 100.

Out of these 56 students Telangana topped the list with a total of 15 candidates who scored full marks followed by Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra with 7 candidates each. Among the top scorers, girls have also registered their presence from Delhi and Karnataka. Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi scored a perfect 100. However, last year no female candidate was successful in scoring 100 in the JEE exam.

Reportedly, last year also highest number of the candidates from Telangana scored a 100 NTA score. In 2023, a total of 11 students scored 100 percentile and the figure has increased to 15 this year. In 2023 total of 43 students scored 100 percentile in the JEE Main exam.

As per the reports, the JEE Main cut-off has increased by 2.45 percent this year to 93.23 percent from 90.77 percent in 2023. For ST category candidates, the cut off increased by 9.46 percent.

A total 1067959 candidates appeared for the session 2 exam, out of this 377921 were from the general cateogy, 134465 from the EWS, 416440 from OBC NCL, 103422 from SC and 35711 from SC category.

The JEE Main exam 2024 session was held on April 4 till April 12, 2024 in 319 cities in india and 22 cities outside India. The final answer key was released on April 21, 2024 by the NTA. Those who will qualify the Main will appear for the JEE advanced in the month of May.
