Japan’s Tokyo Haneda Is The World’s Cleanest Airport 2024

In its 25th year, the Skytrax World Airport Awards have released a list of the world’s cleanest airports in 2024, with Japan’s Tokyo Haneda topping the list once again.

With Japan’s majestic Mount Fuji in the background, Haneda airport was ranked as the second-best airport in 2020.

Japan has four airports on the top ten list of the cleanest airports in the world. Centrair Nagoya ranked fifth, Tokyo Narita ranked sixth, followed by Kansai ranking seventh.

South Korea’s Seoul Incheon ranked second in the list. Singapore Changi came in third, followed by Qatar’s Doha Hamad in fourth rank.

Hong Kong airport attained eighth place, followed by Taiwan Taoyuan and Zurich airport in ninth and tenth positions, respectively.

A list of the world’s best airports was also released, with Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, ranking first. Renowned for its exceptional services and top-of-the line facilities, the Doha Hamad airport topped the list out of the 570 airports across the world. Previously, Doha won in both 2021 and 2022. It came in second in 2023.

Tokyo Haneda is ranked as the fourth-best airport in the world, followed by Tokyo Narita.

The results are based on surveys collected between August 2023 and March 2024 from customers.

Skytrax World Airport Awards have been presented annually since 1999 based on the feedback received from passengers and their airport experience based on various factors.
