Crossword Book Awards 2024: Saharu Nusaiba Kannanari Wins For His Debut Novel Chronicle Of An Hour And A Half  

Mumbai: Saharu Nusaiba Kannanari has won the renowned Crossword Book Award for his debut novel Chronicle of an Hour and a Half. He hails from Areekode in Malappuram district. Published by the Westland Books, the novel was also shortlisted for the renowned JCB Award for the best novel in India. An unsettling story dwelling on mob violence and moral policing, the Chronicle narrates how in matter of hours, individual lives can be changed forever.

The Crossword Books Award ceremony took place in Mumbai on December 8, Sunday. The winners received a  cash prize of Rs 50,000 each. Author Amitav Ghosh was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
