Classic Legends has officially brought the BSA brand to India by launching the Gold Star. Prices for the Gold Star start at Rs 3.00 lakh and go up to 3.35 lakh (both ex-showroom. Revived by the Mahindra-owned company in 2021, the BSA brand was initially limited to the United Kingdom and European markets.

BSA is set to ready to enter other international markets like the US, Australia, and Japan. The India-spec Gold Star is identical to the UK-spec model and available in six colour options including Highland Green, Insignia Red, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, Shadow Black, and Legacy Edition – Sheen Silver.

Powering the Gold Star is a 652cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making it the largest single-cylinder motorcycle in the country. This motor churns out 45 bhp and 55 Nm of peak torque while being paired with a 5-speed transmission. The motorcycle is equipped with dual cradle chassis that sits on telescopic front forks and 5-step preload adjustable twin shock absorbers.

Braking duties are handled by 320mm front and 255mm rear disc brakes aided by dual-channel ABS. The bike has 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels shod with Pirelli tyres. In terms of features, the Gold Star is equipped with a traditional twin analogue dials, USB and C-type charging ports, 12V socket, halogen headlight and taillight, and LED turn indicators. The seat height is at 782 mm and while ground clearance is at 175 mm.

BSA plans to build a nationwide network of dealerships and service centres, ensuring exceptional support for Indian customers.
