Continental GT-R A Fully Faired Motorcycle That Will Likely Debut Before FY26 Ends
It’s no news that Royal Enfield is developing a larger 750cc engine platform, nicknamed “R.” We can now reveal with certainty that the Continental GT-R will be the first motorcycle to use this larger motor. The Continental GT-R, codenamed R1E, is a completely faired cafe racer that is expected to make its debut before the current fiscal year ends.
In an effort to improve performance, Royal Enfield plans to launch the Continental GT-R, a fully faired motorcycle under the codename R1E. As a sportier alternative to the current Continental GT 650, the bike is anticipated to have twin front disc brakes and improved performance.

Based on the current 648cc twin-cylinder engine, the new 750cc engine at the GT-R’s core will provide more power and sophistication. The GT-R is anticipated to make its debut shortly, but Royal Enfield’s other 750cc models are not anticipated to follow until after FY26, suggesting a gradual growth of the brand’s mid-capacity market.
We can now confirm that the Continental GT-R cafe racer will be the first bike built on Royal Enfield’s renowned parallel-twin engine chassis, as we previously exclusively disclosed. Although no precise information is available yet, it is safe to assume that this larger motor will produce more power at its peak than the 650cc mill, which produces 47 horsepower and 52.3 Nm in five of the six motorcycles it powers. The Bear 650, with its 2-into-1 exhaust, produces a bit more torque.

We anticipate that the 750cc Continental GT-R will have two front brake discs because it will probably be a bigger and faster vehicle than the current Continental GT 650. The racers in Royal Enfield’s Continental GT Cup, who are also anticipated to switch to this updated model upon its launch, will benefit from this addition as well.
Before the end of FY26, or before April 2026, the Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750 is anticipated to make its debut. Given that the 650cc lineup starts at Rs 3.03 lakh with the Interceptor and goes up to Rs 3.99 lakh with the Super Meteor (RE’s current flagship model), Royal Enfield faces a difficult decision over where to price it. It’s unclear if this will be the priciest Royal Enfield motorcycle ever made
