It is interesting to note that Honda manufactures the WR-V, a Japanese-spec Elevate, in India. Across a range of testing conditions, the India-made product demonstrated exceptional safety performance.

In important safety tests, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), full-wrap frontal collision, and offset frontal collision, it received perfect scores—five out of five.

The SUV received four out of five points for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the high-performance headlamp and pedal misapplication prevention tests, and five out of five points for lane departure prevention help. With a flawless score of five out of five for side crash (driver’s seat) and pedestrian leg protection, its structural integrity was particularly robust on the sides. Additionally, it received a score of four out of five for pedestrian head protection and driver’s seat neck injury prevention.

With six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, vehicle stability control, Isofix child mount seats, rear parking sensors and camera, child safety locks, seat belt warnings, a day/night rearview mirror, and crash sensors, the Elevate’s Z+ trim (WR-V) was tested by Japan NCAP. In addition to these safety measures, the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System was installed in this version.

Four trim levels of the Honda Elevate are available in India: SV, V, VX, and ZX. The ex-showroom prices range from Rs 11.91 lakh to Rs 16.71 lakh.
