The Hyundai Tucson is the most recent model to undergo crash testing by Bharat NCAP, and it received an outstanding 5-star safety rating for both adult and child passenger protection. A number of Mahindra and Tata SUVs have undergone crash testing, and the Tucson is the first Hyundai car to do so.
The tested model was produced for the Indian market. Please take note that the Tucson has already received a makeover overseas, thus the most recent model is not included in our assessment. The top-spec 2.0-liter gasoline AT Signature vehicle was the one that was put to the test. Six airbags, three-point seatbelts with reminders for every passenger, electronic stability control (ESC), and ISOFIX anchors for the back outboard seats are all standard on the Tucson. Additionally, the Tucson conforms with AIS-100 pedestrian safety standards.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Tucson received a score of 14.84 out of 16.00. It received a score of 16.00 out of 16.00 in the side moveable deformable barrier test, providing good protection all around. It received an Ok rating in the side pole impact test. Additionally, the Tucson met the standards of the ESC test.
Out of 49 points, the Tucson received 41 points for kid occupant protection. In the dynamic test (24/24) and the CRS installation test (12/12), it received full points. In the vehicle evaluation test, it received five out of thirteen points. Rearward-facing child seats, fastened with ISOFIX anchorages and a support leg, were used for testing the 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies in the front passenger seat.

Once more, though, Bharat NCAP does not produce as thorough a report as Global NCAP about the precise degree of protection provided to the kid dummies. Hill hold control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a rearview camera with front and rear parking sensors, and level-2 ADAS are additional features that the Tucson has. The Tucson’s current price range (ex-showroom) is between Rs 29.02 lakh and Rs 35.94 lakh.
