Tata Curvv Spied: New Coupe SUV with Panoramic Sunroof Set to Rival Citroen Basalt
Upon its upcoming launch, the Tata Curvv will directly compete with the Citroen Basalt coupe SUV, as well as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara. Tata Motors first showcased the Curvv as a concept a couple of years ago and again at the 2023 Auto Expo. The coupe SUV is expected to debut this year, likely around the festive season. Like the Punch and Nexon, the Curvv will be available in both combustion and fully electric versions.
Test mules of the Curvv have been spotted multiple times over the past year. Recently, new spy shots have surfaced, revealing more details about this crossover.

Tata Curvv Spied: Exterior Highlights
The most striking feature of the Tata Curvv is its sloping coupe-like roofline, giving it a unique side profile. The front design aligns with Tata’s recent SUV launches such as the Harrier, Safari, Nexon, and Punch, featuring a sleek LED strip on top and dual-projector LED headlamps housed in triangular clusters at the bottom.
From the side, the Curvv displays muscular wheel arches and sleek connected LED tail lamps. Additional exterior highlights include a wide track, shark fin antenna, and a prominent boot lid spoiler. The latest spy images also reveal a panoramic sunroof, adding a touch of luxury to the coupe SUV.
Tata Curvv Spied: Interior Highlights
Inside, the Tata Curvv is expected to showcase a minimalist theme with an all-black layout. Key interior features include a floating touchscreen infotainment display, a fully-digital instrument console, Tata’s new two-spoke steering wheel with a touch panel, and touch-based HVAC controls. Other notable features likely to be included are powered ORVMs, push-button start, and wireless smartphone charging.
Powertrain Options
The EV version of the Curvv is anticipated to offer both single- and dual-motor setups. The single-motor version will have a front-wheel drive layout, while the dual-motor version will offer all-wheel drive. Both configurations are expected to deliver a range of around 400-500 km on a single charge. Among the latest test mules spotted, at least one is confirmed to be an ICE derivative with a combustion engine.

The ICE version of the Curvv is expected to be powered by a new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine showcased at Auto Expo 2023, producing 123 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, Tata will offer the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Nexon in the Curvv, delivering 114 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque. CNG variants of the coupe SUV are expected to join the lineup at a later stage.
