On December 19, Kia is set to unveil the Syros, its second small SUV following the Sonet. In January, the Syros will be on sale. Over the course of a few weeks, the brand has been releasing teasers to reveal some of its functionality and design elements.
In the competitive small SUV market, Kia India is attempting to establish the Syros as a distinctive product. With a flat top and an upright rear, it has a boxy shape that maximizes passenger capacity. The flagship EV9 SUV and the Carnival MPV are two Kia products that the Syros shares certain stylistic ideas with. The window line for the rear quarter glass region climbs up with a pronounced curve, making it a distinguishing characteristic. It is reminiscent of the former Skoda Yeti with its body-coloured window line split at the B-pillar.

The Syros will have a five-seat cabin with plenty of room for both rows and a cargo bay. You may anticipate equipment like ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and other amenities that are competitive with other segments. Initially, Kia will launch the gasoline-powered Syros. In the later part of next year, an EV will be added to the lineup.
Given its size and anticipated price, the Syros has a tough competition. In addition to a slew of other small SUVs including the Venue, Nexon, XUV 3XO, and Brezza, it will face competition from the Skoda Kylaq, which goes on sale next week. The public will first see the Kia Syros at the next Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025 in New Delhi.
