KTM teased a few motorcycles that were expected to be launched at EICMA; however, they were unveiled earlier. The latest is the new KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO, which will be the company’s flagship and will be showcased at EICMA in Milan. The new KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO will also be showcased with the AMT gearbox from KTM.
Many motorcycle manufacturers have been coming up with their own versions of an automatic gearbox, which eliminates the need to have a physical clutch and gear lever and brings the ease of riding a bike. KTM is the latest to join the lineup of bikes with an AMT gearbox.

A new era is coming as in future KTM models will be available with their automated manual transmission. It allows clutchless shifting with a foot lever or automatic shifting according to preset settings based on RPM and throttle input. It comes with a new shift pattern, P-N-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 with a locking sprawl to keep the bike from moving while parked. Park and Neutral can only be selected from the handlebar, allowing for aggressive downshifting with the foot lever without the risk of finding neutral accidentally.
What’s so adventurous about KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO?
The KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO has the typical KTM design language with angular edges and a sharp fairing. The motorcycle features the new headlight design and also gets some top-spec components in terms of suspension and electricals while having a powerful V-twin engine. The new KTM 1390 gets 48mm semi-active suspension from WP, while it comes wrapped in 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tires.
The motorcycle also gets a host of new features, like the new 8.8-inch TFT display mounted vertically, while the electronics package includes traction control, cornering ABS, ABS modes, a radar system, a tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, keyless ignition, smartphone connectivity, and more.

The engine is a 1350cc 75-degree V-twin unit that makes churns 170bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a new AMT gearbox, which the rider can control with a sea-saw shifter on the left switchgear.
The AMT gearbox on the new KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO is in direct competition with the Germans, who also unveiled an AMT gearbox tourer, the BMW R 1300 GSA.
