KTM 1290 Super Adventure S unveiled in India; To Compete Against BMW R 1300 GS And Ducati Multistrada V4

KTM also introduced its flagship adventure bike, the 1290 Super Adventure S, among the several large bikes that were unveiled yesterday. The 1290 Super Adventure, which is renowned for its road-biased and adventure touring capabilities, will only be available as a fully-imported CBU model at flagship KTM dealerships in locations like Bangalore, Pune, and Delhi.

Specifications for technical aspects

The 1301cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that powers the 1290 Super Adventure S produces a maximum power output of 158 horsepower and a maximum torque of 138 Nm. Through the use of a slip and assist clutch, this engine is connected to a 6-speed transmission. A powder-coated aluminum rear subframe and a chrome-moly tubular space frame support this adventure tourer.

The semi-active suspension system that supports this chassis is completely adjustable and includes a rear monoshock from WP Apex and 48mm upside-down front forks. Two 320mm discs in the front and a 267mm disc in the back are responsible for braking. The extreme adventure tourer is propelled by Mitas Terra Force R tires on cast aluminum wheels. At the curb, the bike weights a substantial 250 kg.
