This festive season seems to be all geared up in bringing in more festivities as the Jimny, Maruti’s 1970 born star, is offering a huge discount of Rs 1 Lakh, says the CarToq. Carmaker Maruti Suzuki has come in with lucrative offers and discounts for its latest off-road SUV, the benefits sums up to one lakh for the Jimny.

The offers are being provided by the Nexa dealership, which includes a huge discount of Rs. 50,000 upon the Jimny 4X4 SUV’s base variant, the Zeta. Other benefits which accrues to the Jimny are the additional of Rs. 50,000 as an exchange or as a loyalty bonus. These benefits would be available only till the month ends. The offers are available on the manual and petrol variants of Jimny’s Zeta variant.

In India, Maruti brings Jimny in two variants to the customers. The variants being the Alpha and the Zeta variants. The variants come with similar engines, which is the K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine. This is capable to inducing a maximum power of 104 PS and a torque of 134.2 Nm. Both variants have a 5-Speed manual and 4-Speed automatic transmission option available.

Of now, the manual transmission of the Zeta variant is priced at Rs 12.74 lakh and the automatic transmission is priced at Rs 13.94 lakh. The Alpha’s manual variant comes with a price tag of Rs 13.69 lakh and the automatic variant comes for Rs 14.89 lakh. The Alpha also comes in Dual-tone manual and Dual-tone automatic variants, which are priced at Rs 13.85 lakh and Rs 15.05 lakh.

As for the Zeta variant’s features, Zeta stands second to Alpha, missing many features that Alpha has in offer. Zeta has a 7-inch infotainment touch screen, while the top model has a 9-inch touchscreen; Zeta is equipped with a manual ac control, with no button to start-stop, there is also no projector headlights and headlight washer assembly. The Zeta does not boast of gunmetal grey alloy wheels and fog lights. The Zeta’s wheels are 15-inch steel wheels. Though this is the case, there is no room for disappointment, CarToq said.

The new discount is to gear Jimny Zeta as the value for money deal. Many off-road enthusiasts buy Jimny and add accessories, modifying the vehicle, thus making it a more efficient off-roader. This new offer of discount is expected to find a lot of sense for such enthusiasts to create a Jimny of their own.
