Air India has responded to the recent alleged assault of one of its cabin crew members in London, stressing their commitment to supporting the victim and ensuring the safety of all staff. The incident, which reportedly took place at the Radisson Red Hotel near Heathrow Airport, has prompted widespread concern and led to an official statement from the airline.
In a detailed statement, Air India expressed deep anguish over what they termed an “unlawful incident of intrusion” at the hotel, which affected one of their crew members. “We are deeply anguished by an unlawful incident of intrusion at a hotel, operated by a major international chain, that affected one of our own. At Air India, we are as concerned about this incident as all of you are,” the airline stated.
Air India confirmed that they are providing “all possible support” to the affected crew member and her broader team, including professional counseling. They also emphasized their cooperation with local authorities, stating, “Air India is also working with the local police and will pursue the matter to the fullest extent of the law.”
In response to the incident, the airline has taken swift action by relocating its staff to another hotel and has been assured by the current hotel’s management that there will be no compromise on safety until the relocation is complete. “Our team in London is actively monitoring the safety aspects and will be available for any support during this period,” the statement added.
