India Will Be Among Top 3 Economies In 5 Years: PM Modi Lists Out Government’s Schemes And Initiatives In Independence Day Speech

In his Independence Day speech, P M Modi mentioned many of the initiatives that the government has undertaken as he spoke of flagging off new Yojanas and of increments to be added to existing schemes for the welfare of the people.

In his speech, he said that India which was in the 10th position among global economies, now stands at the 5th position, he promised to the nation that he would bring it to the 3rd position. After Corona, there is a new world order, he said a “geo-political equation” is shaping up and the 140-crore people of India’s presence and capabilities are being noticed. Now, there is to be no “ifs and buts” in the Indian minds about their capabilities as they stand at a very important juncture.

He mentioned, with various schemes like Mudra Yojana, One Rank One Pension, and powering up MSME’s during the pandemic era, the people of the country has risen up from poverty to the threshold of middle class in the last 5 years. One major point of his speech was the launch of Vishwakarma Yojana on the Vishwakarma Jayanti which falls in September. This Yojana would be for all traditional workers and craftsmen. The initial allocation has been planned as 13,000 to 15,000.

India, today, features as one among the world’s three start-up ecosystem, for which he applauded the people. The world is technology driven, technology is the future and India will find a space and role as a technologically advanced country. The PM said that housing scheme for poor has seen a four-fold increase, he further added rebate on the interest amount on home loans for the poor living in unauthorised colonies and slums.

There was special mention of women welfare enhancement as the PM said that, this could lead the country ahead. He recalled that women entrepreneurship can be seen in space and agriculture. A new scheme to train 15,000 women to use drones in agriculture was being mooted along with the target of turning 2 crore women into ‘lakhpati didi’s’. there was applaud for women self-help group too.

For relieving the burden of medical bills upon the common man and in particular, the senior citizens, the number of Jan Aushadi kendras are to be increased. The PM also spoke of inflation, saying that his government has been able to reduce the burden of inflation upon the people and shall continue to do so. About the internet, he said that the rates are already ‘sasta’ mentioned of ushering in 6G soon. The of Amrit Sarovar, the yojana with a view to conserve water for future was also part of his speech, that more would be added to enhance the reach of the scheme to many.
